Living word for 20-April-2024. Scripture says, “Come, see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done! Could he possibly be the Messiah?”

*The theme we are going to study for about a week is triggered by a question that I want to ask you as a believer, and it goes, have you met Jesus? Yes, you read the question right, have you met Jesus?* All through scripture the numerous accounts of people who met Jesus didn’t remain the same so the first evidence or proof that someone has met or encountered Jesus is that your life cannot remain the same. If your struggling with a habit or a sin or a persistent problem that keeps recurring this is some of the proof that you haven’t yet met Jesus or encountered him fully.

The people we study about in Scripture met Jesus physically as in face to face and their lives were greatly impacted for the better of them and sometimes even an entire community. For example the woman at the well who is commonly known as the samaritan woman. When she met or encountered Jesus, depends on what you call it, in a period of about twenty minutes, her life didnt remain the same, it was completely changed. Notice the scripture says of her report to the community saying in *John 4:29 that, “Come, see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” The people left the town and started on their way to him.”* An entire town came to see Jesus because of the testimony of someone who had met him, the samaritan woman.

*The woman with the issue of blood is another who encountered Jesus and her life was totally changed in a split second.* She had heard about Jesus and the chance came to meet him, she had a problem and the scripture says she had spent all her living on physicians trying to get healed. Chance come and she encounters the savior and touches the hem of his garment. *There were many people around Jesus but didnt encounter him, the proof of her encounter is she was healed and Jesus also testified and said he felt power leave him and her life was never the same again.*

So let me ask the question again, have you met or encountered Jesus? The proof of this encounter is that your life cannot remain the same. *Lastly for today the scripture says this about Jesus in Mark 6:56 that, “Wherever he went, whether into villages, towns, or farms, people would place their sick in the marketplaces and beg him to let them touch even the tassel of his garment, and everyone who touched it was healed.”*

*Fellow child of God, if you have met Jesus then from the day you did, your life cannot and will not remain the same. Like we have seen from the examples today, yours won’t be the same because Jesus is the same yesterday, today and always so when you encounter the savior, your lice can never remain the same. If you havent yet encountered Jesus please strive to do so, Jesus can turn around any situation in your life.*

Be blessed
